Starting up a new podcast venture titled Pretty and Peculiar: Life on Pause, narrated by two 20-somethings who love to jabber about the hilariousness in life, love, and happiness.

Who are we, exactly? Glad you asked.

Cat: 20-something female in the grand city of Dallas, Texas. Currently a writer/editor, music goddess, sleep fanatic, and the owner of the best vacuum skills this side of the Mississippi. …She also has a tendancy to rant about bad rappers and all matter of nonsensical foolishness.

Dallas: 20-something female currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently a college student majoring in Art History, a lover of all things pink, a devotee to anything that stems from love, and the world’s greatest procrastinator. …she also has the alcohol tolerance of a Hell’s Angel.

We stumbled into each other’s lives at an age that is unclear, due to Cat’s faulty memory (we’ll be sure to podcast about that at some point). However, there is at LEAST ten years of history in our friendship and that history has given birth to many lessons. Lots of serious ones, lots of universal ones, and a TON of hilarious ones. We figured that keeping such lessons to ourselves would simply be selfish. And while, as you read above, we encompass many things, one thing we are not, is selfish. We understand that shared experiences tend to bring out the best in people. It helps others to understand that while this world is massive, confusing, and at times, painful, we are not alone. When it comes down to it, we’re all going through the same things on this journey through life. We just have to take the time to look around and experience its kindness, its quirks. So take a moment out of your day, out of the hustle and bustle of your week to look at life from a different perspective. Look at life on pause with Cat and Dallas.
